This past Friday, Vivienne Medrano announced on her YouTube channel that Helluva Boss was coming to Amazon Prime and will air the remaining episodes on Prime before they are uploaded to YouTube. This came with lots of excitement from the fans, which means that season four of Helluva Boss and future seasons of Hazbin Hotel will have potential crossover episodes in the future. This announcement has also excited the fans because Viv has mentioned on several occasions that she wanted to do crossover episode with Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss for a while.
This announcement has been a big one because since Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel exist in the same universe, they were never able to crossover because of the copyright ownership between both properties. This was why in the Helluva Boss episode, "Mastermind," Lucifer was mentioned, but not shown. All we saw was a "BRB" message with a rubber duckie on his throne. As much as Viv wanted to do a crossover episode and has been talking about wanting to do one, she was limited and could not bring the characters that A24 and Amazon Prime holds partial ownership in to be on Helluva Boss. However, with the announcement on her YouTube channel, all of that is going to change.
This announcement excited me just as much as it excited the rest of the fandom. There are lots of potential interactions that I would love to see between the characters in both shows, and a few that I am writing in a future fanfiction that will be posted in August as part of the Cherri Bang (spoiler alert). The obvious interactions that I (and I'm pretty sure everyone else in the fandom) want to see is between Lucifer and the rest of the Deadly Sins. We could have an explanation as to why he was not at the meeting in "Mastermind." Not only we could get the interaction between Lucifer and the rest of the Sins, but also Charlie and the rest of the Sins. This would be the perfect opportunity to see what Charlie's relationship is with all her aunts and uncles in every other ring.

Seeing all the Deadly Sins together for the first time except for Lucifer was a big event when the episode aired back in November. While everyone knew the real-life reason why Lucifer could not appear, now we have a chance to know what the in-universe reason was as to why he did not show up. Plus, knowing that we can see what their relationship with Charlie is, we can finally see which Sins Charlie has the best relationship with. Given what we currently know about the Sins, my original prediction was that Charlie had the best relationship with Asmodeus and Beelzebub when she was a child. However, that is nothing more than a fan predictions from one person. I just want to see her and Lucifer's interactions with them in future seasons.
The other biggest interaction I want to see is between Angel and Fizzarolli. I have seen lots of fanart with both of them, along with Husk and Ozzie, on double dates together. Both of them have stories about working with abusive bosses, although one story is more tragic than the other. They also each have a supportive significant other (or, in Angel's case, a potential significant other) that takes care of them and wants the best for them. This gives a lot of potential for both characters to vent to each other about hard days at their works and bonding because of their similar difficult situations. And, just like in the fanart we have seen, we may see some double dates between Angel, Husk, Fizz, and Ozzie, and they do not have to be nothing more than fanfiction dreams anymore.

Crossover and interaction potential aside, we also have news that Viv is still going to have full creative control over Helluva Boss, which means the show is still going to keep its indie status. With the announcement made, the biggest complaint from former fans and the hatedom was that Viv "sold out" or that Helluva Boss is "no longer going to be indie." This was a complaint that was talked about when it was announced that Hazbin Hotel was originally picked up by Amazon Prime. While in Hazbin's case, there was some logic in the argument because production was being picked up by another company and more of the animation was going to be outsourced, however, many people forget that A24 is also an indie company, which mean Hazbin Hotel never lost its indie status to begin with. Viv just has less creative control over the show.
With that being said, I am NOT talking about the people who cannot afford to subscribe to Prime Video and have to spend an entire month to dodge spoilers before the episode of Helluva Boss is uploaded to YouTube. These people have every right to be upset over the announcement because with two seasons that we were able to watch entirely for free on YouTube, this sudden change with the remaining episodes being behind a paywall one month before coming to YouTube would not be the best one for many people. Grant you, I'm pretty lucky to still have access to my ex's Prime Video account, but not everyone that could not afford Prime Video otherwise has the same luxury. Plus, with everything on social media nowadays, it would be nearly impossible to avoid spoilers unless there was a warning before every post (as I did with my post about the Helluva Boss season finale in December).
With the announcement that Helluva Boss is going to be moved to Prime Video, Viv also announced that the fourth season was going to be the final season. This was sad news that was broken to the Hellaverse fandom, and although it would be a given that Helluva Boss was going to end eventually, this was still a moment to mourn a show that was with us for the last five years. This announcement came with lots of mourning from the fans of the Hellaverse, and as much as I am upset about the announcements as many other people are too, that means once Helluva is over, Viv will focus all of her attention on Hazbin for the rest of its lifespan, and maybe a new project will be announced soon.

With all the Hellaverse announcements that came our way from this past weekend alone, one can only hope that there will be a lot more in the summer once convention season is in full swing. Plus, with another announcement being teased for August, there is a high chance there will be an announcement for season 2 of Hazbin Hotel. With the sad news that was just dropped with the Prime Video news, let's hope that we will get more happy news for the future of the Hellaverse this coming summer.
