On July 24, 2025, it was officially announced at San Diego Comic Con that season 2 of Hazbin Hotel is going to premiere on October 29, one day after Vivienne Medrano's 33rd birthday and the sixth anniversary of the pilot's premiere, and two days before Halloween. This was one of the biggest announcements that graced the fandom since this was teased for about a month via a post on Viv's Bluesky and many fans speculating that the season two trailer was going to be played at the convention.

I can tell you right now, when I first saw this post, I was thinking the same thing everyone else was thinking; are we going to get a season 2 trailer at Sand Diego Comic Con? This was something I spend sleepless nights thinking about if we were finally going to get the trailer for season 2, or, at least, a premiere date. The night before felt like Christmas Eve for me. It took me ages to sleep, thinking about what update we were going to get. Lo and behold, we got a teaser with a premiere date, and hopefully we will get a full trailer the coming weekend.

With the premiere date announced, it was also announced that Patrick Stump, the frontman and vocalist of Fall Out Boy, is going to be voicing Abel. It was already announced this past Christmas that Abel was going to be a character in season two, but his voice actor remained a mystery up to this point. While I originally pictured another actor in the role, I would love to see how Stump would make this role come to life.

While we did get some content at last year's Sand Diego Comic Con, which included an animatic of a scene from the season and the introduction of the character Baxter, these announcement brought the fandom together once more and the premiere of the second season is going to do the same thing. I know that when the season premieres this fall, I will be holding a celebration with snacks and lots of amazing vibes for a little Halloween party.

While I will be taking a short break from writing due to the Cherri Bang taking up most of my creative juices and to focus on work and school, the premiere of the second season may get the creative juices flowing again. But, until then, I hope to see you at the premiere of season 2, and have a happy day in Hell until then!
